The Learning Bubble

Each child has access to their own learning space and class community page along with a range of exciting learning resources. To access these resources as well as other useful things, children need to log into our 'Learning Bubble'. To do this they need to click the 'log in' button on the bottom right of this screen or click the image underneath where it says 'Log into our Learning Bubble. Every child has a username and password. This should be in their homework diary or reading record book. If your child can not find their log in details please speak to Mrs Daly.

Coming in to school

The children will come into class  independently. The classroom door will open at 8.35am, so please ensure your child is there to ensure a prompt start to school. This gives the children enough time to put their items away and change their reading book before registration.

P.E. Kit -

NAMED PLEASE! P.E. Kits should be brought into school every Monday morning and taken home at the end of the week.  Indoor PE Kit - Plain white T-shirt, plain black shorts and black pumps.  Outdoor PE Kit, as above but also plain black tracksuit bottoms, top and trainers. Children are not permitted to wear earrings for PE lessons, please can you ensure your child does not wear earrings on PE days.

Parent Helpers

Parent helpers play a vital part within our class and we would love it if you could join us. We are looking for  a parent, grandparent or family member who can come in on a regular basis to help with jobs around the class. Please let us know if you are available.

If you have any questions at all, please speak to me before or after school.

I am looking forward to a fantastic year!

Kind regards,

Mrs Daly

Maths - We will be working on problem solving this half term. Can the children answer questions like this?  What time will it be in half an hour?  How many apples can I buy for 50p?  Which 3 numbers can make 56? 

Reading Books and homework

Please bring your reading book to school every day in a school reading folder. It is important to read and talk about the book every night.

KS1 change their own reading books (only if they have read the current book at home and it has been signed).

The children have the opportunity to do this first thing in the morning before lessons begin.

Keywords will come home each week to learn. Please learn the 10 dotted words!

There will be letters and sounds homework with a spelling focus coming home too on a weekly basis along with a maths booklet.

Please continue to support your child by reading every night at home and discussing their book. If anyone would like to help with reading in school please let me know!

Please let me know if you are interested in helping in school on a regular basis as there are plenty of jobs we need help with! For example:  hearing children read, laminating, cutting, art work etc.
